接通项目
«接通项目»将于12月12日在上海揭开序幕，此项目由瑞士文化基金会、Shift电子艺术节和Miro China/Cheesebeat共同组织，音乐双人组合«Galoppierender Zuversicht»等17位中瑞艺术家将联袂献演精彩纷呈的现场表演。

此项目将成为展现声像艺术及电子音乐的跨界项目，旨在推动中瑞艺术家之间的交流，给广大观众提供欣赏丰富多彩的现场音乐表演和俱乐部文化的机会。

«接通»项目将于12月12日在上海的俱乐部拉开帷幕，随后艺术家们将赴北京进行12月19日至20日，进行为期两天的巡演。

«接通»项目是瑞士文化基金会第一个融合电子和视觉艺术为一体、以表演、展览会和研讨会为形式呈现的项目。至2010年，此项目作为《中瑞创新艺术》项目的一部分将在中国展开。

Bio:
Raffael Dörig: art historian, curator at the media art institution [plug.in] and co-organisator of Shift electronic arts festival, where he co-curates the exhibition.
Katrin Steffen: art historian, co-organisator of Shift electronic arts festival, where she curates mostly the music and audiovisual performance program. Curator at Daros-Latinamerica, Zurich.
Michael Vonplon, Mirochina, has been organising exchange of the electronic music scenes of Switzerland and China for over 10 years. He used to live and study in China in the 90’s.

Introduction:
Shift electronic arts festival
Shift is an electronic arts festival in Basel, Switzerland, initiated in 2006 by [plug.in], together with other organisations. It took place for the first time in October 2007.
Shift Festival offers insight into the distinctly dynamic field of international electronic arts: music, visual art, film & video screenings. It includes concerts and audiovisual performances, an exhibition, a conference, film and video screenings, and more.
Shift doesn’t attempt to offer a more or less representative cross-section of contemporary production in the electronic arts spectrum, however. Shift is a festival that gives centre stage to a single theme that resonates throughout the whole programme. In 2007 the theme was “access – to knowledge, space and culture”, in 2008 “record, record: to register, to store, to process”.

[plug.in]
[plug.in] is a space for contemporary art, which applies electronic media, in Basel, Switzerland, founded in 2000. Media technology has become an important component of our daily life. [plug.in] deals with the social and artistic questions resulting from the merge of life and media technology.
[plug.in] provides: exhibitions with internet and software art, interactive installations, sound art etc.; events on media art and digital culture; a library with books and DVDs and a shop with artists’ editions and electronic gadgets.
[plug.in] is also initiator and co-organizer of the Shift electronic arts festival.

Switch On
The Swiss Arts Council, Pro Helvetia, the Shift Festival and Miro China/Cheesebeat are proud to present their joint initiative Switch On. Switch On showcases artists from Switzerland and China who are active at the interface of electronic music and related visual arts connecting in a crossover programme. The project has been situated within the clubbing scenes of Beijing and Shanghai.

The project will be the first in a series of exhibitions and workshops in the field of electronic arts, which will take place until the middle of 2010 as part of Pro Helvetia’s overall project in China. It aims at enabling a lasting cultural exchange between the two countries’ art scenes.

The artistic concept of Switch On was developed by Michael Vonplon (Miro China/ Cheesebeat), Raffael Dörig, Katrin Steffen and Jean-Marc Galler (Shift – Electronic Arts Festival) following a commission from Pro Helvetia. Switch on is part of the exchange and cooperation programme «Swiss Chinese Explorations» of Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council.
